BRUSHES FOR IMITATING AND FAUX-FINISHING
The brushes listed below are primarily used for faux finishes. The “Calcutta bristles” of the series 2491 have superior elasticity due to their length and composition, making it easy to create the fine check-grain-effects in faux bois such as mahogany, walnut or rosewood. Floggers are also used as daggers in stripe and other glazing effects. The wavy mottler is used to imitate birch and other fine woods, and it also finds application in marbling and fantasy finishes.
